Data Deletion Policy

At DeclutterAI, we believe you should have absolute control over your data.

1. How to Delete Your Data

You can request the deletion of your data at any time. We provide two primary ways to do this:

Option A: Direct In-App Deletion

The fastest way to purge your data. Navigate to Settings > Profile > Delete Account. Requires an OTP verification sent to your email. This permanently wipes all emails, tasks, and settings immediately.

Option B: Account Disconnect

Navigate to Settings > Connected Accounts and tap "Disconnect". This removes our access to your provider and clears all synced metadata while keeping your DeclutterAI profile.

Option C: Manual Request

Send an email to ganakysdev@gmail.com. We will process your manual request and delete all your data within 48 hours.

2. What Data is Deleted?

When a deletion request is processed, the following information is permanently removed from our active databases:

  • Email metadata, snippets, and subject lines.
  • AI-generated summaries and drafted replies.
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens.
  • Calendar event references and task metadata.
  • User profile information and preferences.

3. Retention Exceptions

Please note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Financial records and transaction IDs (handled by Stripe/Razorpay) are kept for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Anonymized system logs used for debugging (contains no personal identifiable information).
